letting go

We had a clothes swap today that was very successful. Not only did we raise funds for a Soul Survivor event (Soul in the Gong) but I also got rid of 4 bags of pre-loved clothes, and acquired a new bag of other people's pre-loved garments. It's so exciting when someone else loves something you're giving away, and when you find a little treasure in other people's trash.

I've started a new rule. I'm doing a wardrobe clean out every 3 months. If I'm umming and ahhing about an item of clothing, and eventually decide to keep it, but then don't wear it in the proceeding 3 months, then it MUST go at the next clean up. Hence the 4 bags of stuff I gave away today (apparently my last clean up was a small one).
