So I mentioned yesterday that all the parking was taken by 9am. Consequently, I had parked in a 2 hour zone, thinking to myself that I wasn't that committed to staying on campus all day anyway, and if I did decide to stay I'd just have to remember to move my car later, once the morning rush had dispersed.
I did stay on campus all day. And I didn't remember to move my car.
And I got a parking fine.
I've never had to pay a parking fine. I always write to the debt collection office and get out of it. Generally you can confuse them with paperwork. Beat them at their own game! So I'll try that strategy, though I haven't decided what my excuse is going to be yet.
