TV snob

I didn't even notice that the final episode of Brothers and Sisters S2 was the finale. That's not a very good sign I don't think. I should be able to pick the final episode by it's feel, I shouldn't have to know in advance in order to pick it. There was too much resolution in the final episode for it to be an end-of-season/beginning-of-season transition. It makes me wonder if they're not planning on doing a third season...

Nat lent me One Tree Hill S1 as the next TV show to get into. She loves it, but after seeing 2 episodes where I was fighting the urge to throw furniture at the television, I've decided this show is not for me. It's got all the cheesy single-parent moments of Gilmore Girls without the cutesy and without the humour, and all the lameness of Dawson's Creek, including the weird non-teenagerish dialogue.

Beth's thoughts were that TV is like food and coffee...once you cross a line in terms of quality, there's no going back. So apparently I've lost the ability to enjoy particularly mindless TV. Probably not a bad thing.

Interestingly, Moira Kelly has gone back. She's Mandy in the first season of the WW, and is one of the mothers on One Tree Hill.

Wed morning is the usual coffee with miscellaneous women at Lee and Me. Seeing as though I'm still not alseep tonight (not due to a lack of trying, but I think it's too late to be knocking on the Story's door asking for their Magic Remedy), and I have to get up in 4 hours, I'm going to scrap the walk in the morning and sleep a little later. This also suits because I actually have to go into uni for a short while tomorrow morning and this way I can drive there straight from the cafe. So the morning routine is getting re-jigged a little, but for good reason I think.
