community table moments

I made another community table friend at Lee & Me today. She's studying for her final 5 osteopathy exams. She was here when I arrived at 8:30, and I had seen her here before, so I set up work next to her and started chatting. I think she's more interested in studying than chatting. She's very focussed. She doesn't have her laptop, just books, so she's sitting beside me right now writing furiously, and I look like I'm typing furiously and being hugely productive but really I'm just blogging.

I witnessed a great community table friendship form earlier. Two corporate guys were in here and they started bonding over their Blackberrys, and then they got talking about their work and who they know and one thing led to another and then they hooked up some kind of meeting to share some special resources, exchanged email addresses, finished off by talking about their wives and children, then parted ways with a hearty handshake. They were both stoked to have made a new friend. It was a nice moment.

I had the breakfast special for brunch today. It was a pork belly, bacon and potato hash on sour dough with 2 poached eggs and a roast tomato. It made me happy. And full.
