I ran into a girl I used to know tonight. Within 1 minute she had described to me all the hardness of her life over the past year since we last ran into each other, and then laughed kind of hysterically at her own comment which was "I think people-persons are less likely to leave a trail of destruction behind them". Cue hysterical laughter. It was a bit odd. I just stood there not laughing at all, but with a small smile so she knew I was still interested in talking to her, but so she also knew that I had no idea what was going on. The moment felt like it lasted for ages and ages, I kept willing her to stop laughing, but she didn't. She just kept laughing, trying to get me to join in with her. I didn't though, because I didn't understand. We ended the extremely brief conversation talking about all the places she had been to tonight looking for ice cream, and something about a fire.
I walked to my car thinking "What the heck just happened?!". It was a whirlwind of weirdness.
I don't know if it was just a weird moment, or if I should be worried about this girl. I don't know where she lives anymore or how to contact her. I wish I had have thought faster on the spot.
